A Friend

He chose you for a special friend
He sensed you would be true ..
and knew when questions would be asked
He could depend on you ..

Though answers sometimes prick the heart
with righteousness - they'd know
it is not self it comes from ..
but the Master they love so.

He uses you to speak His words ..
to reassure - to guide
and as you speak - His love is heard
you draw them to His side.

Through friendship you have plainly shown
how much our Lord does care ..
for in our need He's made a plan
for someone to be there.
