Focus On Them!

Have you ever felt like reaching out to someone but held back because of their stubborn disbelief?  Have you felt that you might not be able to withstand the oppression or depression surrounding them?  Have you reasoned with Holy Spirit that -- "Well, even Jesus had 12 apostles around Him."  and -  "Jesus instructed the apostles to go out two by two."  -- The idea of witnessing to someone or sharing the Word with someone - all by yourself has just been too uncomfortable to think about!

Often when confronted with the opportunity to share God's wonderful promises with someone we hesitate because we are looking in the wrong direction.  Instead of looking outward at the other person we turn our gaze inward.  We look at all the 'can'ts' that live within.  "I can't say the right thing."  "I can't quote enough scripture to witness right."  "I can't be calm in the face of direct denial of God's promises."  "I can't be compassionate and understanding."   -  well, on and on they go.  You can fill in some of your own!  :)  What I heard this morning as I 'discussed' this subject with Father was "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you."   Because - it isn't me that has to know what to say, or the right scripture to quote, or to be understanding and patient and calm - it is Him.  He IS able!  In every situation - He is able.

This brings me back to the faith and trust Abraham had in God.  Complete, total, unreserved belief that God would keep His promise!  When I step out and speak to someone - that is the faith I must have.  It is not my responsibility to make God's Word become real to a person.  It is His responsibility.  If I do my part and plant the seed - He will honor His Word.  It never returns unto Him void.  It will accomplish that which He sends it out to do.  His Word is Living - Jesus IS the Word.  Every time we speak scripture we are planting a seed that has the possibility to grow into the fulfillment of the promise of Jesus Christ and all He accomplished for us.  The power is in the seed - not in me - not in you - but through the wonderful   Holy Spirit within us we can be apart of that power.  We can allow Him to flow in and through us - planting seeds - nourishing new growth.  Our ability comes when we understand that we are NEVER alone.  It comes when we trust Him to do the 'work' and stop leaning on our own understanding.

Let's purpose in our hearts to look outward at others and deny the tendency to magnify our own inability.  Let's see the need as Jesus did and make a decision to reach out - because we do have the answer!  Let's go forth in gentleness and love as an ambassador of Jesus Christ - being lead by His Holy Spirit - with patience and understanding - willing to wait for  the manifestation and fully persuaded that God Is Able!!!

If you are willing to go forth in My name - to reach out - to be used - you will see the glory go before you.  You must be willing!   There is NOTHING  we can not accomplish together!  YOU ARE NEVER ALONE! You could have 10,000 men in the flesh walking with you and NEVER have the power you have alone with ME.

DO NOT focus on what you see!  All of Satan's evil messengers are the same.  They are called by different names and have different assignments - sickenss, depression, disbelief, doubt, fear, poverty, laziness, lonliness .... resist them ALL in the same way!  Speak My Word!  DO NOT give them a place in your mind - they will make camp there and build a small city - calling others of their kind to reside there with them!  (notice sickness brings many 'friends' - there is not one physical problem - but many! poverty brings many tormentors with it....)

You can not force them out of a 'house' they have been given permission to live in - but - you CAN inform the 'landlord' about the 'tenents' - you can show them how to 'evict' the unwanted 'tenent'!

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Isaiah 55:11
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Romans 4:20-22
Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, [21] being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. [22] This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness."

Hebrews 7:25
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Hebrews 5:2
He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.

Hebrews 7:25
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Hebrews 9:15
Because Christ offered himself to God, he is able to bring a new promise from God. Through his death he paid the price to set people free from the sins they committed under the first promise. He did this so that those who are called can be guaranteed an inheritance that will last forever.
