Walking Through the Valley

Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Are you walking through a valley?  A valley of death?  You may be at the beginning or somewhere on the journey.  But you are walking through.  The valley may seem lonley and you may be afraid, but on the other side is something more wonderful than you could have imagined!

We walk trough shadowed valleys many times in our lives.  The valley may be related to a physical illness or disability.  The valley may be one of lost provision.  It may be a valley that seems to block out all your past blessings with a shadow so heavy that you wonder if you will ever see the other side.  Take heart - rejoice - for He said that even in those times - He is with us!  His rod and His staff give us comfort.  The rod of protection - the staff that leads and pulls us close to Him.

Be encouraged today!  If your valley is an attack on your physical body or on your spiritual growth or on your "gift" or your "ministry" - the other side of the valley holds a promise that you can not imagine!  Trust in the One who walks with you.  Lean on Him as you go.  He understands - He will not leave you there.   Together you are walking through what may seem a dark and dry place.  But - oh - it will be worth the journey when you reach the other side!  Look ahead - don't look back, don't look from side to side.  Keep your eyes on the Shepard who leads the way.

Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
"This is the way; walk in it."

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,
Do not fear; I will help you.
