We Were Made to Fly |
|
We have the ability to exist in various levels - from the depths of desperation and despair to the ultimate height of joy-filled peace. Picture life presented to you as layers - you can take the stairway that leads down to one of the lower levels - or the ones that will take you higher. The words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts form the stairs. Listen to what you are telling yourself. Do you doubt, do you fear do you spend your days convincing yourself that nothing will go well and that you are destine to failure? Do you repeat over and over the words of lack, poverty, sickness? Each time etching them deeper into your belief system? Do you continually speak of yourself in negative terms and expect little or nothing positive? Do you see yourself as someone pushed around and at the mercy of others? Do you expect great things? Do you speak about the success that is ahead? Do you believe you are able, worthy, blessed? Do you speak of yourself as a Child of God and an overcomer? Do you know in your heart that you are lead by His Holy Spirit and in that confidence trust that your path is prepared for you? Do you know - that you know - that you know .... that you have every promise that God has given us in His Word? Do you know that because He said He is no respecter of persons that every promise is yours? Do you know that you have been given the Spirit of power and love and of a sound mind - therefore today will be filled with the Glory of God manifested right before your eyes - in your own life! We can live at the bottom or we can soar above it all. God made us to fly with the eagles, above the storms of life, above the turmoil and strife. Though He promised He will never leave us nor forsake us - whether in the storm or far above it - we choose the 'altitude'. How high are you 'flying' today? I choose with my spirit to live in the peace that Father has provided for me as I trust Him in all things. My words and my thoughts can encourage me to raise higher or become weights that pull me down. I have heard many say that they don't believe their words are that important. If not - then why are the words others say to us so important? If someone gives you a compliment you react in one way, if your are ridiculed you are affected in the opposite way. My question then is - If others words can affect us, why would you think that the words you hear from your own mouth would be any less important? If someone else tells you that you have done a good job you may or you may not believe them. But what you say and think about the job you have done is what you believe. The world caught on to this Biblical principle with the "positive thinking" theories. The problem is that we can not 're-create' a negative person just with 'positive thinking'. Only God can re-create us as we give Him more and more of ourselves. The more submitted to Him we become the more we will choose to speak His Word over our lives. The more of His Word we hear from our own mouths the more our faith increases. (Faith cometh by hearing!) Are you attending classes in the school of "Why Me Lord"? There are lots to choose from. Why Am I .....? Why Can't I......? Why Do I Have To .......? and on and on. The basic answer in every class - the one fact that will cause you to pass or fail the class is that no matter what it is that causes the words of your mouth to speak negatively - you are not alone! He is always with you and has given you the ability to overcome and to be victorious. We choose where we live this life. I can drag myself through it waiting and hoping for the wonders of Heaven. Or I can experience much of Heaven now. How much is up to me. Jesus said - "Thy will be done on earth! as it is in Heaven". He didn't say "Let us be nice to one another as we will be in Heaven" - He didn't say "Let us pray as we will in Heaven" - He didn't say "Let us do good works as we will in Heaven"....... Jesus said "Thy will" - we only have to read the Bible to know God's will. He did not make it hard to understand or hide it from us. I challenge you to look in the Word yourself - to find out what God's will is for health, prosperity, understanding, peace, joy, etc...... And I ask you ... Why would a loving Father who loved us so much as to give His only begotten Son that we might have life - that we could be forgiven and look forward to spending eternity with Him - why, why, why would He withhold His blessings from us? If you have been taught that His miracles are not for today, or that He is punishing you, or that your 'suffering' will be a witness to others - please - please, place those teachings aside just long enough to study what God said about it. As you study ask Him to give you understanding and to lead you into His truth. Trust that He will and listen to His still small voice as He speaks to you just as He planned to do when He had men write down His instructions, His promises, His letters of love - to us. Usually I add scriptures here - this time I encourage you to search the Word for yourself. Be prepared to hear and to receive exactly what you need. He knows you better than you know yourself! I thank you Lord for your revelation knowledge! I ask that each one searching for Your truth will find it and that they will - by your Holy Spirit - apply that truth to their own life. in Jesus name - thank you Lord!!!! |
