Keep a Watch at the Gate

We were talking about fear, and how it is the easiest place for the enemy to gain a foothold. Fear comes so quickly and silently. It comes without warning and from places unexpected. It tells you about every negative possibility and assures you that unless you do something - it will all certainly come upon you! Fear enters our temple primarily through what we see and what we hear -- sometime stirring us to a point where we must pass it on to someone else -- drawing them in, spreading the fear like the flu! Our bodies, our minds our spirits are the temple of the Holy Spirit. There are walls of protection around the temple -- but there are gates in the walls. Are the gates around the temple guarded? Is there a watch by each one? Do you find the eye gate and the ear gate are often left unattended? -- allowing anything that is nearby to enter. Be aware of what enters through these gates, try it, test it, compare it to the Word!

Who Are You

I love you my child and want you to know who you are. What determines 'who you are' is 'what you know'. Not what you know about science, or history, or mathematics. It doesn't matter if you have read all the most well-known or most popular books.It does not matter what kind of work you do. Who you are is based completely upon the relationship we have to each other. Who you are is determined by the decision you make when presented with My son - Do you know Jesus - do you know Him personally? Have you made Him your Savior - is He Lord in your life?

Who you are was determined when you took Jesus as your Savior, making you - from that moment on - My child. As My child you are entitled to share in everything that I, as your Father have to offer. You are a child of the Most High God, the Creator of the Universe, - I desire that you know this - deep within your heart. I am your loving Father. My desires for you are only good. My desire for you is to bless you and not to harm you in any way. My desire is that you know Me.

John 1:12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Rom 8:14-15
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

You Can't Tell About What You Don't Know!

We can not hope to draw others to Jesus as Savior of their lives if we do not know Him personally. Jesus is the Word of God, An honest person can not sell a product he does not believe in. How can we hope to be convincing about salvation -- how can we tell someone that there is a better life with Jesus if our own lives do not show them. It is not a matter of what we 'do' - it is not by 'doing' that we are saved. It is the visible manifestation of God's presence in us. If we only are saved to receive eternal life and the promise of heaven - than why not wait - what do you say to the person that asks you that question? Yes, we never know when the end will come to this life. But is that the only answer we have to offer? If so then we are missing so very much. Jesus told us He came to give us life and that more abundantly. Not in heaven - that will already be everything we need. He wanted our lives here on earth to be better.

Isa 53:4-5
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
